June 6, 2014
Dear IPWSOA Members,
Thank you for your past participation in the September IPWSOA Fall Conference. Due to unexpected developments, the Association has moved the 2014 Fall Conference to the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel, a Hilton Doubletree hotel located at 7th and Adams Streets in downtown Springfield, Illinois.
Every room in the hotel has been remodeled, and all new furniture has been installed. Room rates are the same as originally advertised, $109.00 plus tax, parking included.
Parking is available free of charge in the completely renovated 300-space ramp at 7th and Jefferson Streets. You will receive a re-usable parking pass that can be used the entire time you are at the Conference. If you have a large truck or trailer to park, please contact Malinda Beagles, 217-321-2436, to make parking arrangements, free of change, in a lot owned by the hotel. All construction is complete, so there should be no problem accessing any of the facilities.
The room block is now available for booking. When booking a room reservation, please ask for the Illinois Potable Water group, or IPWSOA. The phone number for the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel is 217-544-8800, or you can book reservations at the Hilton Reservation Toll-free Center, 866-788-1860.
Be sure to cancel any reservations you might have at the Crowne Plaza or the Holiday Inn Express to avoid a one-night room charge at those facilities.
The newly renovated Prairie Capital Convention Center will be the site for all Exhibits and all sessions Wednesday and Thursday. The Conference Registration Desk in the Lobby of the Convention Center will be open from 4:30 until 6:30 pm on Tuesday evening, should you wish to pick up your Conference badge. It will open again at 8:00 am on Wednesday. The Friday session will be held in the Ballroom of the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel.
The upcoming 83rd Annual Fall Conference in Springfield this September 10th – 12th, 2014, is full of activities, vendors, products & services, as well as offering certified operators continuing education training for their certificate renewal, and fellowship time with other operators. I myself have been attending the conference for over 30 years and I still find new things to see and do.
Thank you for your continued support of IPWSOA. We hope to see you this September. If you have any questions, or need assistance, please contact IPWSOA at 217-652-1869 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
