Letter from the President
As President of the Illinois Potable Water Supply Operators Association, I am proud to tell you that our Association is working hard to make the 79th Annual Conference one of the most enjoyable and educational programs ever! Our move back to the Crowne Plaza in 2009 was well received by our membership – attendance and Exhibit participation was up, and program participation excellent.
The Annual Golf Outing will be held at the Rail Golf Course, and will be a fun-filled day of skill and fellowship for all. The outing will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2010.
The Opening Day of the 79th Conference on September 22 will feature a full day of educational opportunities. Wednesday will include both regulatory update sessions and some thought-provoking educational presentations. The day will end with the Meet ‘n Mingle, featuring quality time with our Exhibitors and an opportunity to take a spin as a Nascar Racer (space constraints make this a radio controlled fun-filled activity) as part of the evening’s entertainment.
This year’s Conference will feature three concurrent sessions on Thursday, providing just the educational opportunity you are seeking. A luncheon buffet will be sponsored by the Exhibitors, in the Exhibit Area. The Operator of the Year Celebration will be the focus of the Thursday night events, with a buffet featuring ribs by the Great Boars of Fire. Following the Operator of the Year Ceremony, a Casino Night will be held for your entertainment and enjoyment. Play for prizes and fun – no investment needed!
Friday morning will feature the Conference Breakfast, and an informative program to round out your educational experience. Following the Attendance Prize drawing, the Conference will adjourn at noon, so you can make your way home before the five o’clock rush.
